Cardiovascular System Project



We are beginning our curriculum for the year with Unit 3: Cardiovascular system. This unit will be broken down into two parts. First you will be responsible for researching the cardiovascular system in order to explain its structure and function.

Use the following websites as a guide to research: search circulatory system or cardiovascular system
BBC Bitesize
Teachertube
Factmonster
ShowMe

You will need to gather the following information as you research:
1. Draw and label a heart diagram
2. Explain the funtion of : left atrium, left ventricle, right atrium, right ventricle
3. Explain the difference between: arteries, veins, and capillaries
4. Identify major arteries.

Your final product for this project will be a short lesson by your group. Your group of 1 - 4 girls will be responsible for teaching the class about the cardiovascular system. Be creative! Make it fun!

Your group will:
1. Share what you have learned with the class digitally (example: Prezi, showme, photostory).
2. Give a short activity with the class (example: game, worksheet, quiz, song).

Group presentations are due on TUESDAY, September 27.
